McGowan Residential Lettings is a member of The Tenancy Deposit Scheme.
The Tenancy Deposit Scheme has been established under the Housing Act 2004. It requires landlords and agents to register details of the start and end of all Assured Shorthold Tenancies on which they take a deposit. The Dispute Service (TDS) runs this particular scheme and is required to supply summarised details of all tenancies to [the Department of] Communities and Local Government (CLG).
McGowan Residential Lettings is a firm accredited by Safeagent – a Government backed accreditation scheme which offers peace of mind to landlords and tenants through the knowledge that the firm they are dealing with offers clearly defined levels of customer service.
McGowan Residential Lettings is a member of the Ombudsman For Estate Agents Scheme
The OEA Scheme offers an independent service for dealing with disputes between Member Agencies and consumers who are actual landlords or tenants of residential property in the UK. The Ombudsman is independent of the Member Agencies and provides a free, fair and impartial review of complaints falling within his Terms of Reference.
The Ombudsman’s role is to reach a resolution of unresolved disputes in full and final settlement – and, where appropriate, he will make an appropriate award of financial compensation.
